When is National Dachshund Day?

Always held on the Summer Soltice, National Dachshund Day celebrates these long dogs on the longest day of the year - 21st June 2024.

Why We Love Dachshunds

Dachshunds, with their long bodies, short legs, and big personalities, are truly one-of-a-kind. Also known as "sausage dogs", these pups are brave, loyal, and always up for an adventure. Meet Maude, Our Shop Dachshund

If you’ve visited Doghouse, you’ve probably met Maude, our resident Dachshund and shop mascot. Maude is the heart and soul of our store, always ready to greet customers with a wagging tail and a friendly bark. She’s been with us for over two years now and has been the inspiration for so many of our new goodies we've developed in our sewing workshop. 

Maude isn’t just a cute face; she plays an important role in product testing! Every piece of clothing we create for Dachshunds is Maude-approved, ensuring that it’s comfortable, stylish and perfectly suited for those unique Dachshund proportions.
