How to Make Iced Pupsicles for Dogs

Seriously Simple Pupsicles

Frozen pupsicles are a great way of creating a cooling iced treat for your dog to enjoy on a hot day.

Simple to make using natural ingredients that your dog will love on a hot sunny afternoon.

Highly adaptable recipe, easily replace ingredients with items you have in your cupboard!

We made two varieties and used natural dog chews as the ‘stick’ to make the treat last longer. You can shop natural dog treats here.

Each recipe makes approx 3 pupsicles.

Ingredients

Refreshing Carrot and Honey Pupsicle

  • 1 carrot roughly chopped
  • 500ml of water
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Pop the base ingredients into your blender jug and blend until smooth.

Distribute between two or three glasses and stand the chew treat in the glass.

To make the handle stand up in the middle of the glass, I covered the top of each glass with a square of cling film and made a hole in the centre for the chew to go through.

Pop them in the freezer until frozen solid.

To serve, take the treat out of the freezer, remove the cling film and run the glass under cold water for a moment to release the treat.

Best enjoyed outside where ice melt won’t stain the carpet!
