You only have to breath into it for a quality sound enabling you to produce commands so quiet they are almost inaudible to people - perfect for close working dogs. The main difference between 210.5 and 211.5 is the pitch and the dogs that are suited to each one.

210.5: This is the higher pitch of the two and is suitable for all dogs, but is especially good for spaniels. It's also great for older dogs as well as dogs that are hard of hearing.

211.5: This has a slightly lower middle pitch but is also suited to all dogs. It is especially good for larger breeds such as Labradors and Retrievers.
